The CARTEL Band was formed by Towncar D after attending several jam sessions around the Stockton area. Drew hand picked what he
considered to be “the pick of the litter” and put together The CARTEL. Since its inception, The CARTEL has taken Stockton by storm.
Together, the combined talents and experience of these guys has formed the band to beat all bands. In the short time that it’s been around(7
years), The CARTEL is already known for its hard hitting, sho-nuff funky sound. So if an old school funk band with a new flav is what you’re
looking for, look no more.
If you are new to the CARTEL Band, please take a minute and check out our schedule. Then plan to attend a venue. When you do attend, get
plenty of rest the night before, bring your dancing shoes and once there, pace yourself. This may sound funny now, but when you're there, the
"Funk" just kinda takes you over, and then, next thing you know, you are worn out! You might need to reserve some energy for other things, like
safely driving home :-) So pace yourself, it's the right thing to do.
We, The CARTEL Band, would like to thank everyone who participated in our "Tribute To Jimmy". Jimmy played a major role in the evolution of
The CARTEL Band and we want to make it known that he helped bring us this far with his unique voice. The one thing about him that stands
out more than anything else, is that he never had that "Superstar" mentality. Jimmy was the same if there were five people in the audience or
five thousand. And again we thank GOD for the time we were allotted to have Jimmy in our fold and offer our condolences to the Anderson
Family. He will be sorely missed.
Even though there is no replacement for Jimmy, we are trying to continue on our quest to dominate in the
realm of hard hitting "Funk". After interviewing several candidates, we have found a rising star and put him out in front for all to see. In spite of
our great loss, we are moving on and are anxious to show you how well we have recovered.
The CARTEL Band is available for bookings. We do Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Retirement Parties, whatever you want to celebrate,
we promise to make the party funky.
